Illustration – Brid Fahey

For my “frozen” illustration, I chose to photograph something a little different than most students. My first instinct was to take photos of a frozen puddle in the parking lot behind Xavier Hall. I really liked the colors that reflected in the frozen puddle from the sun, along with the salt that framed the puddle.

While editing the photo, I added different layers and adjusted the colors to create more contrast in the puddle. I really enjoyed working in photoshop, it gave me a chance to try different techniques than I’ve used before. If I would have had more time, I could’ve played with the colors in the puddle more, along with the salt that is around the puddle. However, I really enjoyed testing new and different photoshop techniques.
