Aspen Steiner-Point of View

This picture is probably my favorite from the shoot, and the one I had the most fun taking. At this point, Madeleine was worn out and tired of being dragged around by her best friend/roommate/favorite novice photographer, and relaxed against the rail, letting me try a lot of different angles; I tried to play with layering and focus in this picture and really enjoy the distortion through the first glass. My exposure is too bright and I wish the car weren’t in the picture, as I feel it’s a distraction. I do enjoy the way the eye is drawn from one object/subject to the next. Maybe shuffling to the right and getting a shot of Madeleine through the glass would have been interesting as well.

Love the creativity here — the human element totally makes it. It feels conversational; almost narrative.
